First allow my to thank you all for making this forum a very interesting place.
I own a niche website that I am doing my best to promote it. My technology and management is my professional.
I wonder if I can find here someone with marketing skills that will be willing to help me with my website. I cant offer much at this point however its could a great challenge. I am strongly believe that this website has lots of potential.
BTW, I am keep developing this website and more websites around it. This is why I am looking for someone to help me with the marketing aspects.
A good way to market something like this would be to look for small hobby groups either in your area, or anywhere actually.
Look for small publications that deal with the topic (I guarantee you could at least find a handful), and pitch a story to one of their editors.
If you're up for advertising, look to advertise on either similar sites, or in newsletters to hobby groups.
You've got photos.... why not have contests to have people vote on the best in different categories. Might get more people submitting.
Why not add some real content to the site, like articles, reviews, etc. Do it quickly, and you've got a bit of time to get top picks pieces and buying guides up before Christmas. If you review something, send the link to the manufacturer's PR person, and you might get linked from their site or included in their media kit for past press depending on the review. Also let them know if you do ranking-style articles, and you rank them #1 or even #2.
