I am trying to transfer my .com domain from namecheap.com to 000domains.com.
000Domain.com notified me that I need an Authorization Code from namecheap.
Is an Authorization Code the same thing as an EPP?
If so, I requested an EPP a few days ago from namecheap and the only email I have received from them was shortly after I made the request. Their email said they (Support) were going to forward my request to their Development Department.
Actually, I've read a few threads where some people were finally able to get their Authorization Code/EPP code/EPP key/domain/transfer secret (what's with all these fringing' labels!?) from Enom. But it'll take a while for Enom to complete the entire process for all .com and .net domain names.
iowaguy1, you can either wait or contact Enom directly for the Authorization/EPP Code (they're the same). Namecheap will likely ask Enom for the same, so just a matter of who replies back first.
For the record, it can take 24-48 hours to obtain the epp code at the moment for .com and .net domains. We have the following message up on our website:
"EPP Codes for Transfers of domains out of Namecheap.com Currently we are migrating to the new EPP code system and do not have the EPP codes readily available, you will need to send an email to support to acquire the codes and allow us 24-48 hours in which to acquire them. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your patience during this transition. Namecheap.com Support" I personally sent you two emails in the last week to discuss your issue. One was responded to and one the second was not. We also responded to an email that was sent to us on the 27th of October of which you say you never received. I believe there is some email filtering happening here between you and us. Have you had a chance to check your Spam folders?
You've been a client of our for several years and we would never purposely ignore your support requests. Hopefully we can get this resolved and re-instill your faith in us.
