Just a quick one to confirm; If a domain is registered at registrar A and set to expire on 01/11/2007, and it is charged accordingly and transferred to registrar B 9 days later on 10/11/2006 will it gain an additional accumulative year of registration years and expire in 10/11/2008 or will it stay as 10/11/2007.

I assume the latter (that it is charged and looses the initial registration year) but heard differently and want to confirm...

I can imagine that there might be a 60 day hold on your domain(s) because of the transfer of registrars between BulkRegister and eNom. I'm unaware that after renewal of any domain there is a 45 day window where a transfer will not incur an additional years registration. Can you provide a reference to such a claim?

    Well, I guess I misunderstood.
In any event from eNom that is their policy and that is why they have been blocking any transfers from previous BulkRegister Resellers away from there BulkRegister/eNom accounts.

Yes, I also listed all the ICANN document links I could find and I did not find that policy. Perhaps others can find it.

I do think that anyone who was a previous BulkRegister Reseller needs to be informed as to the "POLICY" eNom is using. In addition, perhaps this would be something even eNom Resellers would be interested in before they renew a domain that they may want to transfer.

My lesson I have learned is to start early and look around when any company I am a part of is purchased by another. I do think that I have seen the clients of the purchased company tend to loose in the long run on the deal.
