I am trying to speed up loading pages on my site which is rather graphic intensive & I have used a web page analyzer to check loading speeds & made a few alterations as best I can as I have no HTML skills & I am using a web build program.
I have checked a number of other graphic intensive sites & one in particular loaded a mass of images in a second or so. I tested the page with the analyzer & altho it listed all the graphics it showed no size to any of them, just a row of zero's. How is this achieved ?

I didn't understand the last line actually. but if you want your page to be shown while it is loading, you should assign width and height to your images otherwise the page will not be shown until it is fully loaded.
Graphic editing software can help, like in Photoshop or Fireworks you can use their feature of saving images for web pages. They will give you the good optimized images with nice quality.
